- Our Footpath -

The Leongatha Town Cricket club was formed in 1990 when the merger of the former Town Cricket Club and Leongatha High School Cricket Clubs took place. The newly formed club took the colours and ground of the High School Club and took the name of the Town Club. Since the n the club has grown into a very strong and developed club.

With early success on the field in lower grades, the club won its first title in 1995/96 after numerous finals appearances. Since then the club has won 1 other A Grade premiership in 2003/04, along with a host of finals and grand final appearances. In more recent times the club has spent most of it’s time in division 1 but has been demoted to divion 2 twice with immediate returns to div 1 the following year winning div 2 in these years. The club has won 5 B grade premierships in this time and 6 C Grade flags, along with 2 U/16 titles.

Off the field the club has has developed great facilities with new Club rooms built in 2005 and turf wickets put in in 2013. The clubs ground is now one of the best playing surfaces in country Victoria and great turf pitches to match. The club continues to grow its facilities and standards across the board and is an outstanding set up that is well recognised by all Gippsland cricketers.

The Leongatha Town Cricket Club prides itself on being inclusive to all to join and play with numerous age, standard and nationalities involved in the club. It also considers itself to be a “big” club in the area
